JOB ROLES

E-Commerce & DTC Marketing Leaders

An eCommerce & DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) Marketing Leader is responsible for driving online revenue growth by owning the full digital customer journey—from first touch through repeat purchase and loyalty. This role leads strategy across eCommerce platforms, DTC websites, marketplaces, and digital sales channels, ensuring conversion rate optimization (CRO), seamless user experience (UX), and strong on-site merchandising. By aligning brand, product, pricing, and promotion, eCommerce marketing leaders maximize sales performance while protecting brand equity.

These leaders manage and optimize performance marketing and demand generation across paid media, SEO, content, email, SMS, affiliate marketing, and social commerce. They use data and analytics to improve customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and return on ad spend (ROAS), while partnering closely with growth, analytics, and MarTech teams. A modern eCommerce & DTC marketing executive leverages AI, personalization, CRM, and marketing automation to scale acquisition, retention, and cross-sell strategies across channels.

At a strategic level, an eCommerce & DTC Marketing Leader partners with executive leadership to forecast revenue, guide go-to-market strategy, and support long-term growth and profitability. They build and lead high-performing teams, manage agency partners, and continuously test new channels, technologies, and customer engagement models. In high-growth, PE-backed, or consumer-first organizations, this role is mission-critical for accelerating digital commerce, increasing EBITDA, and building durable, customer-centric brands.
