Chief Digital Officer

The Chief Digital Officer (CDO) is a strategic executive responsible for leading the organization’s digital vision, transformation initiatives, and technology-enabled growth strategies. This leader drives innovation across digital channels, customer experience, data strategy, and enterprise technology to ensure the business remains competitive in an increasingly digital marketplace. The CDO partners closely with executive leadership to modernize systems, accelerate revenue, enhance operational efficiency, and create connected digital experiences that support long-term business goals.

Qualifications:

Digital Strategy & Transformation

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with the organization’s mission, growth objectives, and customer needs.
  2. Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, including modernization of platforms, digital infrastructure, and MarTech/RevOps ecosystems.
  3. Identify emerging technologies (AI/ML, automation, data analytics, cloud, CX platforms) to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  4. Build the business case for digital investments and ensure alignment with financial and operational objectives.

Customer Experience & Digital Engagement

  1. Oversee the design and optimization of digital customer experiences across all touchpoints (web, mobile, ecommerce, digital products, etc.).
  2. Drive personalization, lifecycle engagement, and customer journey optimization using data-driven insights.
  3. Ensure seamless integration of digital channels to strengthen brand engagement, retention, and revenue.

Data, Analytics & Insights

  1. Lead enterprise data strategy, including governance, quality, integration, and advanced analytics.
  2. Implement frameworks for leveraging data to inform decision-making, customer intelligence, and predictive capabilities.
  3. Partner with cross-functional teams to create KPI dashboards and analytical models that support growth and performance.

Technology Leadership

  1. Oversee digital platforms, architecture, infrastructure, and integrations across the organization.
  2. Ensure scalable, secure, and efficient systems through modern engineering principles and cloud adoption.
  3. Partner with CIO/CTO (if applicable) to align technology roadmaps, cybersecurity initiatives, and digital product development.

Innovation & Growth

  1. Identify new digital business models, partnerships, and revenue opportunities.
  2. Lead experimentation, testing frameworks, and innovation labs to accelerate digital capabilities.
  3. Stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring the organization is positioned for future technological shifts.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  1. Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on digital initiatives and modernization opportunities.
  2. Lead and develop high-performing digital, data, and technology teams.
  3. Foster a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  1. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field preferred.
  2. 10–20+ years of progressive leadership experience in digital transformation, digital product development, technology, marketing, or data-driven roles.
  3. Proven track record of driving enterprise digital strategies and leading modernization initiatives.
  4. Deep expertise in digital platforms, ecommerce, customer experience, MarTech/AdTech, AI/ML, analytics, and cloud solutions.
  5. Strong understanding of financial modeling, business cases, and ROI analysis for digital investments.
  6. Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  7. Experience working in high-growth, technology-enabled businesses, or complex enterprise environments.
